Traveling to Sarasota by plane?
Sarasota is located on the southwest coast of Florida.  We are situated between Tampa (north) and Ft. Myers (south).  Both locations are about a one-hour drive from Sarasota.  Interstate 75 is the major north-south highway.  Miami is about a four-hour drive to the south and the Orlando theme parks are a two-hour drive to the east using Interstate 4. 

We are a coastal community located on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.  During your stay make time to enjoy the beautiful beaches, fine dining, cultural events and the wonderful weather.

Airports and Transportation
There are three airports offering service to our area.

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ)
6000 Airport Circle, Sarasota, Florida 34243

This airport is 8 miles north of the Sarasota Meeting Center.  Estimated driving time is 20-25 minutes.

This well-designed airport serves over 1.5 million passengers each year.  Major and commuter airlines provide daily scheduled service.  Charter and general aviation services and air cargo processing are available.  Airline ticketing and baggage claim are steps away from the main concourse. 

Taxis are located near the baggage claim area and are available for all flight arrivals.  Alamo, Dollar and National Car Rental agencies can be found on the ground level of the airport near baggage claim.

Driving Directions via US 41:

• When leaving the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport turn right onto University Parkway
• Turn left (south) onto US 41 at the first traffic light. 
• Stay on US 41 for approximately 8 miles until you reach the traffic signal at Bee Ridge Road
• Turn left onto Bee Ridge Road 
• Turn right at the second street (Freedom Avenue).  The Sarasota Meeting Center (2042 Bee Ridge Road) is on the corner of Bee Ridge Road and Freedom Avenue in the Offices of Voigt & Voigt P.A.

This airport is 66 miles north of the Sarasota Meeting Center.  Estimated driving time is 70 minutes.

Tampa International Airport is a major airport serving 20 million passengers each year.  Although large, the airport is well-designed and passenger friendly. 

There are several on and off-airport rental car services to choose from.  View the Rental Car List for more information.  Taxi service is available.  Shuttle/limo service is available to Sarasota with advance reservations.  Companies can be found using an Internet search for “Tampa to Sarasota shuttle.”

Driving Directions to Sarasota via I-75:

• After leaving the airport property merge onto I-275 South toward St. Petersburg 
• Continue south over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge until I-275 merges onto I-75 south (approximately 39 miles from the airport) 
• Take the exit south toward Naples
• Leave I-75 at Exit 207 - Bee Ridge Road/SR-758 W.  At the bottom of the exit ramp turn right onto Bee Ridge Road.  Remain on Bee Ridge Road heading west for about 4.8 miles
• The Sarasota Meeting Center (2042 Bee Ridge Road) is on the left side of Bee Ridge Road at the corner of Freedom Ave just two blocks before the major intersection at US 41

This airport is 57 miles north of the Sarasota Meeting Center with a driving time of approximately 60 minutes.

This attractive airport serves more than 775,000 passengers each year.  The airport offers a variety of ground transportation services including on-site rental car agencies - www.fly2pie.com/ground_transportation/rentals_services.asp.  Taxi service is available.  Shuttle/limo service is available to Sarasota with advance reservations.  Companies can be found using an Internet search for “St. Petersburg to Sarasota shuttle.”

Driving Directions to Sarasota via I-75:

• As you leave the airport property, turn left onto Roosevelt Blvd/SR-686. 
• Stay on SR-686 for about 2 miles and take the I-275 ramp south toward St. Petersburg. 
• You will continue south over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge until I-275 merges onto I-75.  Take the exit south toward Naples. 
• Leave I-75 at Exit 207 - Bee Ridge Road/SR-758 W. 
• At the bottom of the exit ramp turn right onto Bee Ridge Road.  Remain on Bee Ridge Road heading west for about 4.8 miles. 
• The Sarasota Meeting Center (2042 Bee Ridge Road) is on the left side of Bee Ridge Road at the corner of Freedom Ave.  The building is just two blocks before the major intersection at US 41 in the Offices of Voigt & Voigt P.A.
